Lucy was born at the shelter and is now eagerly looking for her forever home. With a wonderful temperament, she’s playful and engages warmly with all the other shelter residents. Her absolute favorite activity, aside from mealtime, is romping outside in the sun with her siblings—she simply adores it! Lucy is an energetic girl who thrives when she’s kept busy. If she becomes bored, she has a knack for finding her own “entertainment,” which sometimes involves chewing things she shouldn’t. A good supply of chew toys will definitely keep her happily occupied!

Lucy is fully house-trained and comfortable in the car, though she still needs some work on lead training.

This dog has leishmaniasis, a condition that is manageable with medication. It's important to note that leishmaniasis is generally not contagious to other dogs in areas where sand flies—the insects that spread the disease—are not present. This means that outside the Mediterranean region (for example, in Germany or the UK), leishmaniasis poses minimal threat to other dogs. However, non-vector transmission can occur through bite wounds or blood transfusions. Standard interactions between dogs, like sniffing or licking, do not pose a notable threat for disease spread. Additionally, a vaccine is available to help protect dogs against leishmaniasis.

Lucy wurde im Tierheim geboren und sucht nun sehnsüchtig nach ihrem Für-immer-Zuhause. Mit ihrem wunderbaren Wesen ist sie verspielt und versteht sich bestens mit allen anderen Bewohnern im Tierheim. Ihre absolute Lieblingsbeschäftigung – neben dem Essen – ist es, draußen in der Sonne mit ihren Geschwistern herumzutollen. Sie liebt das einfach! Lucy ist ein energiegeladenes Mädchen, das am besten gedeiht, wenn sie beschäftigt ist. Wird ihr langweilig, sucht sie sich ihre eigene „Unterhaltung“, was manchmal bedeutet, dass sie Dinge anknabbert, die sie nicht sollte. Eine gute Auswahl an Kauspielzeug ist daher sehr zu empfehlen, um sie glücklich zu beschäftigen!

Lucy ist vollständig stubenrein und fährt gerne im Auto mit, muss aber noch etwas an ihrer Leinenführigkeit arbeiten.

Dieser Hund hat Leishmaniose, eine Erkrankung, die mit Medikamenten behandelbar ist.
