Buddy's journey brought him to us after he was rescued from another shelter that didn’t want him simply because of his breed. Despite his rough past, Buddy has a big heart and a lot of love to give.

Buddy is a strong and energetic boy who enjoys being around people. He’s happiest when playing ball or tugging on a rope, and he has a healthy appetite to match his playful spirit. However, Buddy’s past has likely shaped some of his behaviors—he doesn’t get along well with other male dogs and can be aggressive toward them. This has led us to believe he may have been trained as a fighting dog in the past.

On the brighter side, Buddy gets along with female dogs and leaves them alone. We’re hopeful that with neutering and proper training, Buddy can learn to be around other male dogs without aggression.
